Hoop Dance for Kids: Lesson 4April 13, 2015 at 12:34 pm
Hi, Hoopers! We hope you are enjoying our ‘hoop dance for kids’ video series! Today, we’re learning how to do the hula hoop jump rope. So, grab your handmade hoop and join Miss Abby and Bouncy in Hoolaville. After you’ve watched the video lesson, be sure to read the ‘quick tips’ below…. this will surely help your hoop flow (don’t you just love to rhyme?!?). Let’s go! It’s hoop time!
Here are some quick tips:
1) Start with the hoop in front of you, with palms facing down and both hands on the top of the hoop
2) Jump inside your hoop and flip it over your head (the hoop will roll in your hands as you do this)
3) Hop through it again when it comes back around
CHALLENGE: See how many hoop jumps you can do in a row!
Be sure to SUBSCRIBE to our You Tube Channel to stay in the loop on all things hoop! Every Monday, we release a new kids hoop dance tutorial straight from Hoolaville – with Miss Abby and the Hoola Monsters. We also share weekly tips and tricks on our blog.
