Hula Hooping for Kids: Lesson 3

Published by on April 6, 2015 at 3:06 pm

Hi Kids! Miss Abby here with another tutorial in our “hula hooping for kids” video series! Last week, we learned all about vertical hand spins, and we worked on the hula hoop handshake. In this week’s tutorial, we’ll expand on that lesson with horizontal hand spins.  After watching the video, be sure to check out the ‘quick tips’ below.

Some quick tips:
1) Turn as you bring the hoop up, overhead
2) Be sure to make a big circle with your arm as you start to spin
3) When the hoop is spinning overhead, there’s plenty of room to dance underneath the hoop! While hooping, see how creative you can be with your dance moves.

SUBSCRIBE to our You Tube channel to stay in the loop about all things hoop! Every Monday, we release a new kids hoop dance tutorial straight from Hoolaville – with Miss Abby and the Hoola Monsters.   By the learning the moves in this video series, kids will be able to follow along with the choreographies featured in “Molly and the Hoola Monsters!”

Happy Hooping from Miss Abby and the Hoola Monsters!
